He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Merren and David Merren; and his brothers, Michael and Joel. He is survived by: his wife Judy Merren; his daughters, Lisa Goldblatt (Lipaz Baum) and Jennifer Shapiro (Jeremy Shapiro); and his grandchildren, Emma Goldblatt, Ben Goldblatt, Joseph Shapiro and Evan Shapiro.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Stephen's memory may be made to the Rome Capitol Theatre or Temple Emanu-El.
