We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2025, Mario Fuoco (New Paltz, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Mario farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mario is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Giuseppe, Luigi, Francesco, Quintino and Camillo.
He is survived by: his wife Lucia Fuoco (Rella); and his children, Lucia Valderez (Tony) of New Paltz, NY, Rosetta Wildgruber (Richard) of Rosendale, NY, Carmine Fuoco of New Paltz, NY, Mario Fuoco, Jr. of New Paltz, NY and Antonio Fuoco of New Paltz, NY. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home (162 S Putt Corners Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (34 S Chestnut St, New Paltz, NY 12561).
