We announce the death of Renee S. Hack of New Paltz, New York, who passed away on September 18, 2026. Renee’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Ehrlich and Nechuma Bankhalter Ehrlich; her brother Saul Ehrlich (Felice Ehrlich); and her brother-in-law Martin Hack. She is survived by: her children, Julie Buckler (Scott) of Woodstock, NY and Paul Hack (Colleen Donnelly) of Oracle, AZ; her grandchildren, Emma, Sarah and Sam; and her sister-in-law Sylvia Hack. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Paltz Rural Cemetery (81 Plains Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561).
In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Ulster Immigrant Defense Network (UIDN) which offers food, personal hygiene items, and other household goods to immigrant families in need.
