He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Steffens and Winifred Steffens; and his brother James Steffens. He is survived by: his wife Helen M. Steffens (Krummenacker); his children, John William Steffens and Aileen Marie Gaffney (Michael); his grandchildren, Hannah and Ryan Gaffney; and his sisters, Patricia Steffens and Alice Steffens.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Church (34 S Chestnut St, New Paltz, NY 12561).
