With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Vasse of New Paltz, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on June 19, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though William may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vasse and Etta Vasse (Anderson). He is survived by: his wife Sarah (Sally); his daughter Mary Vasse; his son-in-law Robert Bole; and his grandchildren, Sam and Lily Bole.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home (162 S Putt Corners Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the SUNY New Paltz Foundation, Mohonk Preserve, Phillies Bridge Farm Project, or one of the two churches mentioned above.
