He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Smith and Tommy Smith; his former wife Jessie Mae Scott-Smalls; his son William Bubbie Smalls; his siblings, Douglas Perry and Vivian Baker; his wife Anna Edgerton-Smalls of White Plains, NY.; and his stepson Bishop Jerome Edgerton.

He is survived by: his aunt Lena Smalls; and his daughters, Sandra Barbry, Jacqueline Smalls and Sharon Smalls-Williams. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts. & spiritual children and friends.
