We announce the death of Robert J. Olsen of New Windsor, New York, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 74. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John N. Olsen, and Vera Olsen, Sr. (Maloney); his brother Carl R. Olsen; his significant other Amy Olsen (Storm); and his grandson Brannin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Katrin Rohl (Michael) of Pennsburg, PA, Mary Annabell Olsen of Walden, NY and Vera Cabrera (Michael) of Virginia Beach, VA; his siblings, John N. Olsen, Jr. (Susan) of Cornwall, NY, Kristina Olsen of New Windsor, NY and Lynn Olsen Politi (John); and his grandchildren, Amy, Sarah, Joshua, Esther, Jaxson and Lilyana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and a host of lifelong friends.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the New Windsor Post # 1796 (29 Walnut St, New Windsor, NY 12553).
