With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ada I. Carty of New York, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ada left this world on June 5, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Monserrete Aramburu and Enrique Aramburu; her parents-in-law, Thomas and Anna Carty; her husband Thomas Carty; her sister Margaret Bitsky; and her siblings-in-law, John Carty and Catherine Walker.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Maureen Carty and Harvey Bitsky; her children, Kenneth Carty, Karen Murphy (Gene) and John Carty (Sofia); her grandchildren, Kira Murphy, Christy Widmer (Will), Kylee Murphy, John Carty, Thomas Carty (Emma) and Kevin Carty; and her great grandchildren, Avery and Leah Widmer. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home (34 N Summit St, Pearl River, NY 10965). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Margaret of Antioch Church (115 W Central Ave, Pearl River, NY 10965). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Anthony's Cemetery (36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954).
