She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Lee and Inez Lee (Mincey); her husband Burman Spells; her children, Curtis Spells and Peggy Ann Herington; her grandchildren, Samuel Cornelius Spells, Randy Raymond Jr. and LaJasmine Spells; her siblings, Frank Lee, Jack Lee, Arelene Torrance and Sonya Lee; and her brother-in-law Eleaser Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Spells (Nita) of Pembroke, GA, Gerelene Spells, Dennis Spells (Peggy) of Claxton, GA, Burman Spells (LaSwan) of Millen, GA, Cassiegene Spells, Janis Raymond (Randy) of Portal, GA, Evelyn Spells of Statesboro, GA, Mabeline Woods (Tracey) of Caruthersville, MO, Danny Spells (Renee) of Alma, GA., Maude, Joseph Lee (Junita), Dan Lee Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Irene Carter; and her sisters-in-law, Gladys Reese of Miami, FL, Ruthie Mae Hall and Suelee. She is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren, forty-six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
