With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Anthony Turro of New York, New York, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Anthony left this world on June 12, 2025 at the age of 100, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Anthony may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Beverly Turro; his children, James Turro (Barbara) of Mantoloking, Mary Jean Sullivan (Kevin) of Naples, FL, Ellen Babajko (Joseph) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Raymond Turro (Joanie) of Ridgewood; and his brother Monsignor James Turro. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial (530 High Mountain Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Church (2 Fremont Ave, Park Ridge, NJ 07656).
