She was predeceased by: her husband Jerome B. Gross; her parents, Carl Richard Thackston and Ruth Bryson Thackston; and her sister Elizabeth "Betty" McMullan. She is survived by: her cousin Kimberly Harden Blume; and her nephew Jason McMullan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Gentiva Hospice of Greenville or Earle Street Baptist Church.
