He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Long and Emma Francis Abney Long; his daughter Stephanie R. Long; his siblings, Lois Wiseman, Janice Estes and Roger Long; and his granddaughter Jennifer Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Louise Justice Long; and his great grandchildren, James Wesley Canter, Christopher David Canter and Alex Pingleton.
