He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sappelsa and Augusta Marie Sappelsa (Krack); his wife Evelyn Sappelsa; his siblings, Doris McBride (Jerry) and Joseph Sappelsa; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Sappelsa.
He is survived by: his son Warren Sappelsa of California; his grandchildren, Noah, Levi and Asher; and his sister-in-law Gloria Sappelsa.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hornung Family Funeral Home (1212 W 2nd St, Liberal, KS 67901). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel (1212 W 2nd St, Liberal, KS 67901).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Liberal Senior Center or the Fellowship Baptist School, in care of the Hornung Family Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
