It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Brown-Bryant formerly of New York, New York, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Naomi Rosemary Harris Brown and John West Brown, Sr.; and her daughter Claudette Candice Bryant. She is survived by: her siblings, Vivian Ann Taylor, Elizabeth Ruth Wagner (Auto Wagner), Gladys Marie Whitaker, Larry Vordell Brown, Regina Natalie Teasley (Theodore Teasley), Allen West Brown, Theresa Johnann Stokes, John West Brown, Jr., Blanche Virginia Brown and Lester Walter Brown; her grandchildren, Ericka Briele Grant, Jarrett Maurice Greene, Jamari Bryson Watts and Jenae Michelle Bryant; her great grandchildren, Hunter Bryce Hollington and Jayla Donise Greene-Dunlap; her close friend Errol Channer; and her friend Lynette Hereford. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
