Though Etsuko may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her daughter Mari Matsumoto; and her nieces and nephews, Michiyo Nakashima, Emiko Fukaura, Hidehiko Asakura and Hiroaki Asakura.
