John William leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John William’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John William will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John O'Grady and Flora O'Grady. He is survived by: his wife Constance Cushman; his sister Carole Gelormino; and his children, James (Megan), Shannon (Jesse Margolis) and Patrick. He is also survived by five grandchildren: many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 20th 2027 at 2:00 PM at the Faculty House at Columbia University (64 Morningside Dr, New York, NY 10027).
