He is survived by: his sister Veronica Darrell; his close friend Lorraine Thompson; his grandchildren, Darren Jr., Latrice, Ayden and Veronica; his sibling's children, Damion, Nicole, Darnell, Brandon and Kwincey; and also, Shartina, Shartele, Shartora, Shartrice and Terrance.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the George H. Weldon Funeral Home (353 E 116th St, New York, NY 10029). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
