He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Herbert Minkel and Helen Sullivan Minkel; and his sisters, Maryellen Burke (Mazie) and Ann Corkery. He is survived by: his sisters, Jean Minkel and Maura Minkel Frackleton; his brothers-in-law, Bill Burke, Matt Corkery and Jack Frackleton; his nieces and nephews, Kate Keely, Ellen Burke, Molly Gabarro, Hannah Corkery, Ned Corkery, Sean and Sam Frackleton; and his friend Mary Cashin. He is also survived by six grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Sebastain's School (1191 Greendale Ave, Needham, MA 02492).
