He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry, Sr. Spann and Julia Spann; and his siblings, Catherine Swinney, Louise Lovett, Rosetta James, Willie J "Bill" Spann, Hattie Elmore and Henry Spann, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alston; his children, Ronnie Spann (Molly), Phyllis A. Spann-Phillips (Randy) and Michael "Prince" Spann (Monique); his grandchildren, Dominique, LaTrevous, Monaisa, Lanardo, Marques and Nidira; and his siblings, Annie Dorothy Smyth, Carolyn S. Gamble, Lessie Spann and Booker T. Spann (Mary).
As a result of the COVID-19 regulations, for the safety of the family, community and staff and in an effort to practice social distancing, a private family graveside service of no more than ten individuals to be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:00 p. m.
