We are sad to announce that on September 15, 2023, at the age of 88, Katina Vasiliou of New York, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Demosthenis; her children, Athanasia "Stacy" Koutsogiannopoulos, John D. Vasiliou, Peter Vasiliou and Georgia Diamantis (Paul); and her grandchildren, Martha, George, Dimos, Anthony, Katina, Cosmas and Christina. She was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in her honor to the Saint Thomas Iconography Fund.

“My sincere condolences to the family of Katina Vasiliou. One of the saddest things we can experience is the loss of a cherished loved one. Something that I have learned from studying the Bible is the hope it holds for our deceased loved ones. The Bible teaches that God can awaken the dead as if from sleep and give them life again on earth. Until that appointed time they are in Gods memory. It will warm your heart to know that God cares deeply for those grieving.”
