Laura Ann Marzec Obituary
Laura Ann Marzec was called home to Our Lord on Friday, October 18th after a sudden but brief illness at NYU Hospital in New York. Born August 4, 1966, she was the youngest of six children to Frank and Adele Marzec in Annandale, Virginia. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1984 and continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, graduating in 1988 with a degree in Mass Communications. Upon graduation, she moved to New York City, where she held various positions in property management, public relations for a small-label recording company, and has spent the last 15 years providing bookkeeping, accounting and tax preparation services for small businesses and individuals in New York City.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank W. Marzec, Jr. and her brother, Frank W. Marzec, III. She is survived by her mother, Adele, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, brothers Phil (Kathy) and Robert (Valerie), both of Fredericksburg, Michael (Christy) of Melbourne, Florida, and Paul (Laurie Vaughn) of Ruther Glenn, Virginia, Debbie (widow of Frank III) of Manassas, Virginia, as well as 14 nieces and nephews, 14 grand nieces and nephews and one great-grand nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Jude Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, VA on Monday, November 4th. Interment followed at Fairfax Memorial Park. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
