Lois Bennett Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 3, 2024, at the age of 87, Lois Bennett in New York, New York, born in Colfax, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lois Bennett to pay them a last tribute.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Lois leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her husband Travis Bennett; her son Rod Bennett; and her siblings, Max Miller and Jane Nelson. She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Ann Bennett; her son-in-law David Dempsey; her granddaughter Trina Dempsey of New York City; and her daughter-in-law Valerie Pryor of Dublin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Lois' honor either to The New Jewish Home – Manhattan (jewishhome.org), which provided loving care to Lois over the last few years, or to the Rod Bennett Memorial Scholarship Fund (https://charitysmith.org).
