Maria leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Maria’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Maria will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She is survived by: her husband Henry Hugh White; her sisters, Josefina Lidia of Baker and Olga Jeff; her nieces, Zulima Cox and Ashaki Caquias; and her nephew Abelardo Jeff. She is also survived by grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter B. Cooke Funeral Home (352 E 87th St, New York, NY 10128). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church (43-19 30th Ave., Long Island City, NY 11103). A committal service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at 72-02 Astoria Blvd S, East Elmhurst, NY 11370.
