He was predeceased by: his parents, John Land and Emily Land; his son Byran Briggs; and his brother John Land. He is survived by: his wife Iris Land; his daughter Michele Land (Aisha Land); his stepchildren, Derrick Briggs of Anchorage, Jamie Coleman of New York City and Tonya; and his sister Dorothy Brower. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandson.
