Norma Doherty Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma Doherty in New York, New York, who passed away on July 8, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnie Claire Lloyd (Myles) and Edward Claire; her sister June Claire; and her son-in-law Robert Whittemore, Jr. (Vincent). She is survived by: her husband Vincent Doherty; her family Norma; her son Kevin Joseph of West Nyack, NY; her granddaughters, Jessica Elizabeth Doherty of Rock Hill and Kristin Doherty of Rock Hill; her daughter Kim Anne Whittemore (Doherty) of West Nyack, NY; her grandchildren, Rachel Catherine Whittemore of West Nyack, NY and Robert Morrison Whittemore, III (Krista Goldstein Whittemore) of Clemmons; her daughter Karen Marie Lugo (Doherty); her son-in-law Richard Lugo of Congers, NY; her grandchildren, Nicholas Richard of Hoboken, NJ, Jillian Marie Lugo Hanigan (Michael) of River Vale, NJ, Krista Eve Lugo of Hoboken, NJ and Julia Hope Lugo of Congers, NY.; her great grandchildren, Connor Whittemore-DellaPorte of West Nyack, NY, Leo Tremper IV of Rock Hill, SC and Harper Rue Hanigan of River Vale, NJ.; and her siblings-in-law, Rita Hennelly and Donald Timm. She is also survived by grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

“It was our great pleasure and honor to have been in the presence of Norma through the marriage of her granddaughter and our son. A lovely, kind and gentle woman.
