She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Howland and Mary Howland (Kinney); her daughter Rebecca Adams; her former husband George Adams; and her siblings, Virginia Kneeland (Howland), Donald Howland, Richard Howland, Sandra Dunn (Howland) and Jeffrey Howland.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Adams of New York City and Mary Ackley (Jonathan) of Oneonta; and her siblings, Roger Howland of Houlton, Maine and Barbara Barron (Bill) of Kensington, Connecticut.. She is also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Mary's Cemetery (354 Smyrna St, Houlton, ME 04730).
