He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeanne R. Haley-Gurley and Richard C. Gurley, Sr.; and his sister Gail Salemi. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Gurley of New York; his sisters, Debra Warren (John) of Chicopee, MA and Sharlene Pederzani of Troy, OH.; and his pet Rocky. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
