He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Middleton and Elizabeth Middleton; and his brothers, Alfred, Raymond and Lawrence.
He is survived by: his close friend Helen McMahon; his sister Marilyn Bromwell; and his nieces and nephews, Ray Middleton, Chris Middleton, Jeff Bromwell, Brian Middleton, Valerie Decoteau, Michelle Middleton, Laura Sonnenday, Claire Bromwell and Julie Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rich's name to Doctors Without Borders.
