He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Ward and Albert Ward; and his brother Mike Ward (Bonnie Rose Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Rose Johnson; his children, Sarah J. Ward of Old Chatham and Christopher J. Ward of Brooklyn; his sister Kath Fraser of Cle Elum, Washington; his daughter-in-law Mina McAllister; his grandchildren, Kian, Layla Ward, Zeinab, Maila and Ali Assi; and his nieces and nephews, Jody Provine, Ian Fraser and Liz Owen.
A private celebration of life will be held at the family's convenience and donations can be made in Stephen's honor at Equine Advocates, Chatham, New York.
