With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia Klausen of New York, New York, who passed away on April 23, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Clayton Gardner and Helen Gardner (Behring); her siblings, Gloria, Donna and Richard; her husband Bret Klausen; and her stepson John.

She is survived by : her sister Jeanne; her children, Sylvia McCullers (Randy) of Johnstown and Richard Pettit (Mary) of Johnstown; and her stepchildren, Michael (Aleks Stojanovic) of Ravena, Karen Williams (Matt Darbin) of Edinburg, Eileen Spannbauer (David) of Meco and Laura Klausen of Johnstown. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home (1 N Melcher St, Johnstown, NY 12095).
