We announce the death of Thomas Franklin Deems (New York, New York), born in Aragon, Georgia, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin René Deems and Sarah May Deems (Fitzpatrick). He is survived by: his wife Joan Clark Deems; his siblings, Danny Deems (Tamara) and Kathy Carver (late Howard Carver); his children, Tanya Deems Hyman (Andy) and Bryan Thomas Deems (Marla); his grandchildren, Baylee Deems, Tatum Deems and Paul Hyman; and his nieces and nephews, Katie Jones (Ben), Carter Deems, Jennifer Breeden (Jeff) and John King.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Liberty Square Church. A burial was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Providence Cemetery.
