He is survived by: his wife Ruby Brooks; his children, James Brooks (Sabine) of Stuggart, Joseph Brooks (Trina) of New Madrid, MO, Gerald Stewart (Chiquita) of Decatur, IL, Patricia McDaniel of New Madrid, MO, Janice Yancy (Jerry) of New Madrid, MO and Diana Bell of New Madrid, MO; and his siblings, Cesar Brooks (Georgia) of Yantley, AL, Edna Fox of Yantley, AL and Theresa Fanning (Paul) of Woonsocket, RI. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, his pastor, fellow deacons and friends.
