With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Jane DeForest of Newark Valley, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Locke and Hazel Locke (Cook); her husband Robert'Bob'DeForest; her siblings-in-law, Jane Sheldon, Gertrude Gage, Olin, Alfred and Sheldon DeForest; and her husband Bob.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Rhodes (Rory), Robert DeForest III (Kim) and Michele La Comb (Stanley); her grandchildren, Trevor Rhodes (Lauren), Tyler Rhodes, Jamie Heiman (Dylan), Emily DeForest, Rachel DeForest and Robert DeForest (Anna); her children, Jennifer La Comb (Michael Bovier) and Jeffrey La Comb; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Heiman, William Heiman and Mary Ellen Rhodes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
