He was predeceased by: his parents, Jospeh Bishop and Cecelia Bishop (Palmer); his siblings, Joseph Bishop, James Bishop, Maynard Barrett and Rosemary Bates; and his girlfriend Irene Tracy.

He is survived by: his children, Brandon Bishop, Lisa Houston (Jerry), James Bishop (Brenda) and Kenneth Wright (Ty Sade); his siblings, Diana Cole, Theodore Bishop and Robert Bishop; and his friend Lou Russell. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
