He was predeceased by : his son Israel Fontanez Jr.; and his parents, Angel Fontanez Castillo and Romoana Cuadrado Santiago. He is survived by : his wife Wanda Crespo Fontanez; and his children, Gesenia Bocka (Phil), Daniel (Jenna) and James Fontanez. He is also survived by three grandchildren; many brothers and sisters.
