He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth P. Franklin; and his daughter Connie D. Burnette. He is survived by: his son-in-law Timothy Burnette; his children, Steven Franklin (Daphne) and Tamara Gilliland; and his grandchildren, Mitchell Wilson, Asia Wright (Brandon), Nico Roy, Jeremiah Franklin (Mary), Wade Franklin (Amy Jo), Grace Allen (Preston), William Anderson, Winston Anderson and Amanda Rivas. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors in Jim's honor.
