She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Phillips and Bertha Allen Phillips; her brother Fred Mays; and her nephew Fred Mays. She is survived by: her husband Joel Hixson; her children, Peggy Davis (Robert), Ricky Hixson (Jennifer) and Brian Hixson (Lynn); her grandson Matthew; and her siblings, Carol DeRoo and Edwin Phillips (Susan).
