He was predeceased by: his parents, John K. Goebel and Martha Goebel (Lindsay); his wife Diane; and his children, Robert "Bobby'Goebel, Timothy "TJ" Herman and Kathy DeJohn (Joseph Lindsay).
He is survived by: his children, Michelle "Chellie" Alvarado and Johnny D. Herman; his grandchildren, Shaun DeJohn (Nicole Bishop), Seth DeJohn (Nakisha Jacquionot), Derek Herman (Brandi), Ryan Herman (Kiersten) and Camron Douglas; and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Alivia, Trevor, Elizabeth, Elsie, Jameson, Oliver, Paisley, Teagan, Kyleigh and Ripley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
