It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmella Ortland of Newburgh, New York, born in Wallkill, New York, who passed away on June 30, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmine Bruno and Mary Bruno (Cifarelli); her husband Joseph Ortland; and her siblings, Jim Bruno, Louie Bruno, George Bruno, Anthony Bruno, Katherine Vonderhyde, Florence Remer and Jane Vandermark.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Lucy; her nieces, Anita, Angela, Lucia and Mari; her nephew Patrick; her children, Sharon Blatchford (Joseph) of Montpelier, VT and Joseph Ortland Jr. of Wallkill, NY; her grandchildren, Cathleen Cocchini of Butler, NJ, Julia Blatchford of Madrid, Spain and Kate Blatchford of Los Angeles, CA.; and also, Nick and Marsha.
