She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Jefferies and Virginia Jefferies (Wirth); and her brother Charles Jefferies. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Felix L. Vargas; her daughters, Michelle Herbst (Michael) of Geneva, IL, Suzanne Vargas of Atlanta, GA and Claudia Anne Vargas of Atlanta, GA; her siblings, Susan Morgan, Carolyn Martin, Arthur Jefferies, Douglas Jefferies, Jose Vargas (Loli) and Emilio Blanco (Mirtica); and her grandchildren, Victoria Herbst, Isabella Herbst, Maria Anastasi, Joe Herbst, Chris Anastasi, Carmen Anastasi, Joshua Morris and Delilah Morris.

Facial covering must be worn in the funeral home at all times, and social distancing must be practiced.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Claudia's memory can be made to the Nora Cronin Presentation Academy, 69 Bayview Terrace, Newburgh, NY 12550.
