She was predeceased by: her parents, George Kiamos and Marika Kiamos; and her siblings, John Kiamos and Vasili Kiamos. She is survived by: her husband Peter Matthews; her children, Paul Matthews (Zoe Matthews) and Joanne Matthews Forbes (Richard Forbes); her grandchildren, Matthew of Newburgh, NY., Peter of Newburgh, NY., Jamie of Newburgh, NY. and John of Newburgh, NY.; her son George Kiamos (Kaitlynn) of Newburgh, NY.; and her siblings, Christos and Andromahi.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Peter 'the Great" Matthews Memorial Scholarship Fund" (which has been awarded annually for the past three years) which will hereafter be renamed the "the GREATS Scholarship Fund" which awards an annual scholarship to a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy High School.
