She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Evans and AnnaMae Evans (Mitchell); her husband Albert S. MacDowell; and her siblings, Jack Evans, Dorothy Tucker and Shirley Petro.

She is survived by: her daughter RuthEllen Countryman of Pleasant Valley; her sister Barbara Pelli of Winter Garden, FL; her sister-in-law Betty Evans of Newburgh; her granddaughter Ellen Castro (Justin) of Pleasant Valley; and her great grandchild Elizabeth Casey of Pleasant Valley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
