He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brooks and Nellie Brooks (Craft); and his siblings, Charles Brooks and Betty Mackey. He is survived by: his wife Carol Brooks (Ferguson); his sons, James Brooks (Natalie) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Michael Brooks (Linda) of Newburgh, NY; his grandchildren, Lauren Brooks, Felicia Garnet (Joe), Brittany Hannon (Ryan), Stephanie Brooks (Sean Silverman) and Steven Brooks; his great grandchildren, Brooks Hannon, Connor Hannon, Erin Hannon, Sloane Garnet, Riley Hannon, Sydney Brooks-Silverman and Gwyneth Garnet; and his friend Vero Beach. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
