He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Montalvo and Eladia Rodriguez; and his brothers, Efraim, Frankie and Danny Montalvo.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Cardona-Montalvo; his siblings, Judith Ramsey, Myrna Velazquez, Ruben and Samuel Montalvo; his children, Manuel Montalvo (Alexa), Nydia Cardona-Fontaine, Angel Cardona, Milagros Cardona-Shaw, Nancy Velez and Luis Cardona; and his grandsons, Matthew and Michael.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc. (481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY 12550). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (93 Union Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the widow.
