We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2025, at the age of 81, Leonard Abate Jr. of Newburgh, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leonard Abate Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Abate and Marie Abate (Mantione); and his brother Samuel. He is survived by: his wife Ellen (Chaya); his children, Amy Abate (Matthew Nielsen) of Brooklyn, NY and Matthew Abate (Jillian) of Newburgh, NY; his brother Joseph Abate (Eileen) of Rhinebeck, NY; and his grandchildren, Gwen, George Nielsen, Olivia, Vivian and Charlotte Abate. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc. (481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY 12550). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
