She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Marrero and Maria I. Marrero (Rivera Colon); her husband Angelo Damian; her brother Roberto Marrero; and her grandson Kristian Castro.
She is survived by: her children, Felix Castro of Newburgh, James Castro of Newburgh and Eileen Hughes (Sean) of Newburgh; and her grandchildren, Candice Stanford, Justin Castro, Aisha Talley and Natasha Allen. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
