We bid farewell to Penelope Vassell of Newburgh, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 21, 2024 at the age of 92. Penelope touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Vassell and Mary Vassell; and her siblings, Angelina Patsalos, Anita "Jenny" Contis and Constantine "Gus" Vassell.

She is survived by : her nieces, Ann, Jeanne and Kristina Patsalos. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (19 Fullerton Ave, Newburgh, NY 12550). A burial was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (93 Union Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Kaplan Family Residence Hospice.
