She was predeceased by: her father William Perby; her brother William Perby; and her grandson Robert Penney. She is survived by: her husband Peter Sampieri of Newburgh, NY; her children, Robert Penney of St Augustine, Christopher Sampieri of Newburgh, NY and Danielle Colombo (Joseph) of Cornwall; her niece Darlene Spielman (Christopher); her great-niece Charlotte of Patchogue, NY; her grandchildren, Stella Colombo, Lola Colombo, Elizabeth Cataldo, Katie Caraballo, Krystal Penney and Kourtney Penney; and her pets, Fritz, Chachi and Brody. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Starr's memory may be made to North Shore Animal League.
