He is survived by: his children, Sabrena Russ of Atlanta, GA and William Lamont Ware of Ashville, NC; his siblings, Mamie Rayford of Newburgh, NY, Jeraldine Ware of New Windsor, NY, Linda Pitchford of Batesville, Miss., James Ware Jr. (Verona) of Wappingers Falls, NY and Robert Ware (Essie) of Batesville, Miss.; and his grandchildren, Maurice, Ron, Sherease, Sheron and Davonte.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rhodes Funeral Homes - Newburgh (18 Lake St, Newburgh, NY 12550). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
