She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Warner and Gladys Warner (Roberts); her husband Harold Richards; her brothers, Ernest and Kenneth Warner; and her grandson Brian Eckerson.

She is survived by: her daughter Bonita Howes Jr. (Wayne); her grandson Jeffrey Reeson Jr. (Mayra); her great grandchild Ryland Reeson; her son Edward R. Eckerson; her grandson Michael Eckerson; her great grandchildren, Antonio Conte and Giovanna Eckerson; her stepsons, Roy and Karl Richards; and her sister Shirley Smith (Rossie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
